Project Management and Procurement Support
The procurement process for public sector projects, depending on the nature of the project, can be very complex. During this phase it is crucial to have the right support at the right times in order to deliver a value for money project which meets the objectives set in the business case. Typically projects will be delivered using the Competitive Dialogue procedure which has a number of defined steps.
Chacefield Associates understands the Competitive Dialogue process and has delivered a number of projects using this procedure. We have experience in developing project documentation, evaluating submissions by bidders and in closing deals.
At the core of our approach is team working and knowledge sharing.
Teamwork
Chacefield Associates has substantial experience of working as part of a team in numerous projects across the UK. Typically these projects (delivered by a team) include liaising with Council Members, Council Officers, government agencies, expert advisors (for example legal, technical, financial, tax, planning and insurance). The key to this is strong project management and the establishment of a strong communications framework and delivery structure to define to roles of each party early in the process and the necessary protocols to ensure successful delivery.
Knowledge Sharing
Chacefield Associates’ approach to the sharing and transfer of specialist knowledge and skills is an integral part of our approach to projects. In particular we recognise the need to transfer specialist knowledge and skills to client teams to enable them to continue to manage contracts effectively post Contract Award. Accordingly, we encourage knowledge sharing and transfer through meetings, workshops and other suitable methods.
We understand that, if managed poorly, the process can take too long and become very expensive. However, using our skills and experience we can assist you to develop a realistic timetable and series of project documents to ensure you achieve competitive tension and deliver an affordable project tailored to your objectives and desired outcomes.
