Feasibility Studies and Business Cases
The fact is that too often, too many strategies, programmes and projects fail to achieve their objectives and deliver anticipated benefits. This is in great part because the key phases of the investment have been inadequately scoped and planned and the associated risks have not been taken into account.
Chacefield Associates understands that the business case is important because it is the planning and management tool which enables stakeholders, customers and project teams to ascertain that projects:
• are supported by a robust case for change that provides strategic synergy;
• optimise value for money;
• are commercially viable;
• are financially affordable; and
• are achievable.
It should be noted, though, that the business case is not simply a vehicle for gaining approval for a scheme. Irrespective of whether approval is required, the above components need to be satisfied for all successful projects. Chacefield Associates is experienced in all aspects of business case development and can guide you through the process, authoring a comprehensive and detailed document which will allow you to progress your project with confidence, while achieving any necessary approvals required.
