About Us

Chacefield Associates is a 'boutique' consultancy providing project management and high value expert input to projects for clients in the public and private sectors. Currently the company is focussed on projects in the environmental and waste management sectors. 

The consultancy is led by John Cowan. A Chartered Environmentalist and Chartered Waste Manager, John has extensive experience at a senior level in policy development, project evaluation and project management. He has a proven track record of working with both public and private sectors on a variety of infrastructure projects, both with and without the use of private finance.

One of the key aspects of Chacefield Associates’ experience is in having developed experience of in all phases of project delivery from a number of perspectives, including:

•   Public sector clients seeking to procure projects;
•   Private sector bidders seeking to win projects;
•   Public sector organisations bidding for grant funding; and
•   Central Government departments and other funding agencies reviewing bids for grant funding.

Our Approach

Delivery of projects involves a number of discrete steps, from identifying the concept through to implementation or delivery.  Chacefield Associates has experience and expertise in all of these project stages and offers professional advice in the development and delivery of projects through all of these phases.

We are team players committed to establishing strong, mutually supportive partnerships with our clients. Upon appointment to a project we would make arrangements for our core team to meet with your project team to agree communication protocols; receive any additional information or policies and procedures we are required to comply with; and to get to know you and your preferred methods of working. We work as an integral part of your project team, and also any wider team including any other advisors, to ensure that the views and advice of all relevant parties is taken into account in delivering your requirements to timescale.

Effective communication is vital to successful project delivery and our aim is to communicate in clear, jargon free, language. Our commitment is that, whenever possible, we will have regular direct conversations with project team members, and clients will have full contact details for each member of the Chacefield Associates team, including mobile numbers.
